Can it crush more than one clove?

Yes, it crushes several cloves at once.

How does it work?

With a twisting action, which Joseph Joseph says gives more pressing power from less effort.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, and it separates into two pieces for easy cleaning.

What is it made of?

Stainless steel and nylon.
